Compared to combat sports, running isn't the most
exciting activity, however running can improve:
- General Fitness: If you just want to improve
your fitness, it's always easier training in a group as you'll be
part of a team supporting each other for your own goals. Using our
varied activities during the sessions you'll gain a greater understanding
the effect on your body and its development as a result.
- Endurance: A key factor for any sports competitor,
your strength, speed and skill depend on maintaining your powers
of recovery, by developing your cardiovascular system your will
increase your bodies aerobic capacity.
- Burning Fat: Running to burn fat to loss weight
or training for a tournament needs to be controlled, our varied
excercise activities allow you body to develop its own recovery
system, encouraging the body to use the carbohydrates eaten, rather
than stored fats.
- Anaerobic Capacity: Different running styles
will improve your legs strength and condition, increasing power
directly contributing to tournament performance.
The
Running Club offers a wide range of activities and advice during the
sessions to promote teamwork, develop and help all members set their
personal goals. The Running Club also has plans for some charity events
in the future.
The Running Club is open to students and their families and no matter
what your ability, you'll fit right in. |
